WWII USO Show

Come to see “All Hands On Deck,” the WWII Music Review at Freedom Hall in Park Forest on November 4, and stay at the nearby and affordable Best Western Inn Suites Midway Hotel!

“All Hands on Deck” is a recreation of the legendary Bob Hope’s 1942 USO tour! The review features a nine piece orchestra and a cast of four singers, dancers and comics. “All Dancing, All Singing and All Big Band!” The songs are tunes America has been singing since the 40’s. And! “All Hands on Deck” will be broadcast live on Armed Forces Radio!

Hollywood’s brightest stars responded to the war effort by forming tours in which stars appeared live. None was more popular than Bob Hope, a radio star, later a TV star, and star of such movies as the “Road” pictures with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour, “The Big Broadcast of 1938,” and “My Favorite Brunette.” Hope supported US troupes by touring in shows for over forty years.
