“Unforgettable – Falling in Love with Nat King Cole” is a tribute concert to the late great velvet-voiced star of the late 20th Century. Actor/singer Evan Tyrone Martin’s one man show takes us from Nat King Cole’s roots in a Chicago church to the jazz scene to fame and fortune with a long string of song hits!
Evan Tyrone Martin is an up and coming star. He is a trained singer, actor and dancer whose talents have received rave reviews by important critics. He has appeared in “Dreamgirls,” “The Kiss of the Spider Woman,” “Rent,” at the Arkansas Repertory Theater, and many other Chicago productions. His Nat King Cole and Aaron Neville impressions are first rate!
Nat King Cole started as a professional jazz pianist. His sultry voice is heard on over twenty major movie sound tracks, including “Citizen Kane” and “Kiss Me Deadly.” He won a Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement and was inducted in both the Jazz Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
