Young guitar prodigy Rogers is fast earning the reputation of being a blues master. This show is his tribute to the guitar stylings of Prince, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Hendrix, and Carlos Santana!
Jamiah Rogers has been playing guitar since the age of three! His father, Tony Rogers had a band that rehearsed in the basement, and Jamiah spent his childhood learning how to play. Like many musicians, Rogers as a kid played church basements, local nursing homes, open mics, and festivals. He recorded his first CD, “In the Pocket,” at age seven. At twelve, he played “Voodoo Child” for The Chicago Music Awards and was named Most Talented Kid. He recorded his second album, “Taking the Stage” at age sixteen then played at the 2015 Chicago Blues Festival.
