Bring your honey to see emerging Brit pop star Ed Sheeran at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre September 16, and stay at the nearby and affordable Best Western Inn Suites Midway Hotel!
Ed Sheeran hit the charts big time when Nashville star Taylor Swift heard his music and reached out to him. Sheeran made a guest performance on Swift’s album “Red,” and then he wrote some songs for the boy band One Direction, and now he’s the star of the show.
Sheeran began playing guitar at a very young age and was under the influence of an arty family (his brother Matthew is a classical composer). His early influences were The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison. He was signed to Asylum Records in 2011. In 2012, Ed Sheeran was named Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act of the Year. He made his way to the US with only a poetry gig lined up, ended up staying at Jamie Foxx’s house, and started drawing crowds.
Sheeran’s persona is needy and scruffy, and his songs (he plays electrified acoustic guitar) are whimsical and mostly about girls. Bring your girl at your risk!
