Ring in the holiday early with Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” a story of greed, redemption, ghosts, Victorian charm, and one of the world’s great villains, Ebenezer Scrooge! Ripped from today’s headlines!
Bob Cratchit, a good-hearted soul is a clerk for one Ebenezer Scrooge, in London. Cratchit’s son, Tiny Tim, is crippled and not expected to live. Scrooge, who lacks total empathy, could care less, even insisting that his employee work on Christmas Day because Christmas is “Bah, humbug.”
Scrooge retires to his bed for the night, where he is plagued by visits from three ghosts: Christmas Past, where Scrooge watches his younger self, Christmas Present, where Scrooge sees the plight of Tiny Tim, and Christmas Future, where the old man witnesses his own death and the derision of the people who hated him in life. And there’s a happy ending!
